I've opened a lot of bug reports in the past with fairly firm evidence, but I'm going to speculate on one here.

Since I started as Canada NT manager, Canada has shrunk a fair bit... something like ~130 users to 96 at the moment. Despite the shrinkage in users, I've never seen the number of votes for the NT approval percentage drop — it appears to just monotonically increase.

You could argue that is just coincidence, or that users who end up going inactive are disproportionately not voting (no doubt true to a degree), but my intuition says that can't explain it completely. The possible bug: I strongly suspect that votes from currently inactive users are never purged.

I'd be happy if the BB's could throw a quick investigation of this into the queue.

I wonder where the data for individual votes is stored.

It would make sense to keep the totals with the NT data, so you don't have to scan all the teams whenever displaying the current result.

But the individual votes could be kept with either the team data or with the NT data. I can see how I have voted, so my vote could be kept with my team data, and displayed whenever I look at the NT page. But even if it were cleared if I went bot, the NT totals might not be updated.

But if the individual votes are kept with the NT data, it would be easy to check if I voted, every time I look at the NT page. But it wouldn't be easy to know if I had become a bot.

I noticed in the cases of the NT managers that were replaced, that their ratings were the same immediately after the new election. I don't know if these were reset or not.

I do not know how this voting is administered. But a week ago or so 45 had given votes in Norway. Now: 36 (http://www.buzzerbeater.org/BBWeb/ntDetails.aspx?teamid=2...) and the one that has given vote can not withdraw it, just change.

Older than the rest ...

Popular manager you have in Norge!

OK, if that is actually the case, then my speculation can't be right. Hmmm.. since I posted the initial post, Canada has dropped from 40-something to 37 votes. So, maybe I guessed right, and the problem has been fixed?

Or, a little birdie told Charles what you reported and he erased all votes from inactive teams.

NO ONE at this table ordered a rum & Coke
Charles: Penn has some good people
A CT? Really?
Any two will do
Any three for me
Any four will score
Any five are live

So was this just a one-time fix or has the real problem been fixed? (I have a guess...)
