First off, I'm not saying that BB should copy the other basketball sim (basketsim). Just to be clear. :)

But I saw two features there that were interesting! So I thought I would share.

They have players with 'personalities'.

Eg.

Aggressive - trains rebounding faster but fouls more
Entertainer - trains handling / passing faster but tends to take dumb shots

I thought it would be very cool to introduce players with personalities. I'm not saying all players with personalities. Just an elite few. Perhaps 1 - 1000 or w/e number. Sorta like real superstars.

The other thing I saw that caught my eye was a youth team. I was thinking that it would make sense for basketball teams to have their own youth programme as well.

edit: Also a time field for the TL would be VERY cool!

eg - within 4 hours
within 12 hours

etc...

or from 9.00 am to 11.00 am.

I don't know about other players... but it would be nice to search trainees / players weren't on sale at 4am!!

Just suggestions guys... :)

Players have a hidden aggressiveness attribute already. They foul more and are less afraid of contact when driving. You can argue that IS and DR training is more effective for this type of players so essentially "faster".

As for a youth team, you could always have 5+ youngsters and play them during scrimmages, but you can't train different skills for your starters and for your youth the same week, I guess.

Youth teams would make the draft obsolete (which I would consider a good thing), but as the draft is a working system I doubt it will be changed.

yea. am aware abt the hidden aggressiveness attribute. I'm quite sure it doesn't have an effect on training tho. Plus it was just an example of a 'personality'. :)

what would be the point of having 5 youngsters and playing them all during scrimmage?

team training?

@ knech

in the other sim, the youth team is actually a bunch of 15 year olds... they don't actually take part in normal games until they turn 18... so its slightly different from the draft, which would be 18 - 19 year olds...
