Hey I'm looking to promote this season to D.III, my team is set to cruise through the season until I play the Indiana All-Stars. This team has a very weak outside defense and I was thinking I could buy a killer perimeter scorer to give me the edge. I have an inside oriented team with inside trainees. This is my situation...

I have three trainees, two 26k bigs 23 and 21 yo, and a 11k 20 yo that I am in the process of selling for a profit ~300k

My question is this, do I use my now 600k reserves to buy a new trainee for about 300-350k and keep up my training, or do I buy an outside sharpshooter for about 450-500k, OR do I just sit on my butt, and keep the roster I have right now until the playoffs begin?? Indiana All-Stars is in the other conference so I would only play them once in the regular season. If I beat them there then I have a chance to promote due to bots if I lose in the playoffs. So how should I spend my money??

I would play against Indiana all stars without any new player. That way, you will see if you are competitive, since if I understand you correctly, you will probably play them in playoff finals because they are the best in other conference. If you beat them easily, don't buy anyone. If you lose or have difficulty winning, I'd buy a good outside player with great outside defense about three-four weeks before playoffs (to raise his game shape if needed).

Yeah that's along the lines of what I was thinking, however I was probably going to buy a decent 20yo big so I can keep training efficiently, and then just save my money until the later part of the season.

I agree with the previous suggestion. Use the season to train your guys and see how you face off against your rival. Buying a new outside threat just before the playoffs also helps you by surprising your opponent. And you should have more cash by then!

First, when u buy player which u will train on inside skills, look to find 1 with good secundary skills. That makes a big difference,in performance and in price, later when u would sell him...At least to have descent JS,HA and PA...
Also, check his potencial before u buy him,i wont go below than all star...
IMO u have better team than Indiana, especially when i saw that Indiana trains 28yrs old players lol...
If i were u,i would sell all 3 trainers and get 3 18yrs old with all star+ potencial and good secundary skills. For that purpose i would check other team in leagues, check if i can get play off having 1 18yrs old kid in starting line up,playing 48mins.If u can, then do it,before play off sell 1 of them and get outside player/s.In that way u would save money also in salaries, coz 18yrs dont spending much...
