It would be nice to have a live chat (like the one open every time there is a game) that stays open all the time, so that when I get on buzzerbeater after I've set my lineups, checked the TL, surfed the forums, I have something to do. Real time chat would be a nice feature that would be easy to implement considering it's already open during the games, and it would give everyone an opportunity to discuss their teams with each other.

In fact, there is always a live chat.

Go to your Schedule page, and watch a replay of one of your matches.
See, you can join the chat ;)
Also you can join the chat always via mIRC, or another IRC client.

But maybe it's a nice idea to make a link in the mainmenu on the left, so the chat is more busy all the time..?

Personnally, I use IRC since a long time and I connect the chan by this mean, but I agree with Nick-w, it would be a good thing to have a shortcut simpler than the game view to join BB chan, always in the idea to grow the community link between all the manager.

Or to make an official tutorial how to join an IRC channel using mIRC. It certainly is an improvement of activity in the community. That's what we all want, right?

Even with publicity around this possibility, in France, they are extremely rare those who use it. People don't want add another software just to go on the chat of BB, learn how to use it, etc... That's why they use the one below the game viewer even if it is awful and small.

Stupid french
Just kidding, the Dutch channel #Nederland is always empty, too. Except for the timeline around matches..

I think, the question is how we can make the IRC channels more popoular..
The only answer to this question is - I think - to make a menu link in the mainmenu of the website, to the IRC channel..

Yeah indeed!

I think it isn't really hard to implement (just only a day of work for one person?) and it makes the community a lot more active, I think.

Yeah this is what I meant, a link to chat on the main menu's of the website, because honestly who uses the chat right now outside of game time?? If we made it more easily accessible and maybe a small announcement about it we could have a nice flow of traffic through the chat rooms
