When does game shape change?

Let's say I have a player who's game shape is inept prior to tonights game
if I sit him out
will it change for Thursday's Cup game?
or not until Monday?

Game shape changes at training update on fridays depending on weekly minutes played by your players. Try to keep the minutes from 55-70 to increase game shape.
