I imagine this must be a known problem, since it happens all the time in games: often when the shot clock is down, the game clock will go another 5 to 10 seconds before anything actually happens to end the possession. Is this being looked at currently? What's the deal?

I think it has to do with fouls that happen with less than :14 left - the shot clock gets reset visually to :14, but still counts down the whole :24

Looks like the match viewer is right but that the game engine is wrong.

Actually, resetting the shot clock to 14 when possible is right, if the engine is following NBA rules (which I believe it is).

I know. The match viewer is correctly resetting the shot clock to 14, but the engine seems to think that they get 24 seconds.
