you can either buy youths on the tranfer list from teams who sell theirs.

Or you get 3 youths every season at the very end of the season, which is called the draft.
I sugest you go reading the rules section about the draft to see how it works.

there is no way to pull youths from somewhere like in hattrick here.

They are not your friends; they dispise you. I am the only one you can count on. Trust me.

first of all this is not hattrick. no youth academies or "youth players." a trainee can be gained by looking through the transfer list or drafting 3 players at the end of the season. the best ages for trainees are 18-19 years old. players do train well around 22 years old but its best to get them as young as possible.

I don't understand the disdain with which people sometimes say, "This is not HT". Fact is, the game structure is very similar to HT in a lot of aspects. Sure, there are some notable differences. Maybe many notable differences. But I will be hard pressed to claim that the differences are more than the similarities.

Honestly, I don't try to do it on purpose.

As for the TIE thread, I have a strong opinion there. Here, I only comment because I've already seen the "This is not HT" comment a lot. I can understand why people say it - this is, obviously, not HT. But then again...

New players only come through the draft which occured at the start of the season. Each season you draft 3 players.

Your 3 drafted players are Sampaio (3073779), Nóbrega (3073760), and Silva (3073764)

Though you only get 3 new players per season, rather than 16 like in HT, the new players in BB are actually pretty good. Of my 6 draft picks over 2 seasons, 2 are starters for my team (or would be except they're both PG), another is a backup, two were sold on the TL, and only one was fired.

Unless you are doing team training in FT or stamina, you probably have too many players on your roster. You're paying salaries, but not getting any training or playing from them. I suspect that some of your draft picks would be more productive than some of your older players. They're probably already as good, and have much more future potential.

it's not so much that i have disdain for HT or hate it, but i think that the approach to the game is different. i just get tired of people using football terminology for basketball. it's not that big of a deal but it's just something that gets to me a little.

Hello to all,
I came to BB from HT, and this was because at first sight, I thought this was the most similar game to HT, so it would be easier for me to get in.
Now, after some time in the game, I continuosly get the opposite opinion. Of course it "looks" pretty much like HT... the players features, the market, and many other things that make HT players feel much more confortable to play BB than for someone that never played HT.
But the game engine of BB has a lot of differences, and some BB-HT player come to think that BB should work as HT does. That is, in my opinion, the reason of so many threads talking about "my defense is better, my attack is better, but I lost the game". Because they (and me for some time), think in the way of HT.
But this is a much more developed game than HT, at least looking to the very realistic game engine, and of course the extraordinary match viewer.
I tried to make a comparison between HT and BB in the General Spanish Forum, but it is only in spanish. I could translate it if people are interested in such a discussion.
