I am in a mostly bot league
or everyone has come in during the past 3 weeks

I did a combine and demonstration, scouting 25 players in all, none interviewed
So far - 6x5 3x4 8x3 5x2 3x1

I will surely finish first and select last

Will get 9 more points and there are 11 18 year olds left to scout

Do I scout them and hope for the best or do I interview some instead

scout one, and interview four guys you're most interested in. knowing their potential might be worth a lot.

That's one way to go
I could scout 9 more in hopes of lining up as many 5 balls and 4 balls as possible
I may find one or two high potential guys
but picking 16th I may miss them out of random bad luck
and if 1 other team scouted like me, they'll get them for sure
just looking for a consensus..thanks for your advice

i would do wat mathcorejay said. if your league is full of bots they will draft randomly and if the few players you have came in ther last few weeks they would have done little scouting, so despite finishing 1st you still have a good chance to draft a really good player if you know his potential instead of drafting a 5ball player with poor potential. so i would say interview the 4 blokes you think are in the right size for the position you want to train

There is the problem
I have 5 guards I'm training now
3 for one position training and another pair when I do 2

Of all the 5 ball draft guys so far - none are under 6' 6"
and of the 4 ball guys, only one is under 6' 6" and he's a 6' 2" PF

Under your proposal I would really be looking for the best candidate to sell
while continuing to train my current guys.

Sadly I only have one local player on my roster and was hoping for a Canadian guard to train.
Perhaps draft, sell and buy a Canuck!

if thats the case, possibly scout 3 of the unknows and see if you can find a guard height player who has 5 or 4 ball star rating. then spend the last 6 points and interview 3 of the players to see their potential.

if you dont get a better player scouted but the 6'2" 4 ball bloke i would interview him because it doesnt matter that he is a PF he will be trained as a guard, and interview two of the 5 ball blokes and see if you can sell them after and get money to either buy a canadian trainee or just improve your overall team.

i am training SF's so i am scouting all players between 6'4" and 6'8" and then only interviewing the high rating ones. and i am trying to find other playes that fit my training plans.

totally up to you mate. but i now think you need to at least scout 3 more players of guard height so you can at least find a high rating one... if that makes sense

you have roughly an 2/3 chanche of getting your number one pick, thats for me enough to go for him instead of checking or plan B. with a bit luck you also get your number two pick, with a ~22% chanche.
