Joining late in the season, I've only been able to uncover a few players for the upcoming draft. I should have the first pick overall. Which player is the better pick?

One guy is 19 years old, 5 star rating, 4 star potential. One is an 18 year old. 4 star rating, 4 star potential. A 3rd is an 18 year old with 5 star rating, 3 star potential.

In what order would everyone rate these players?

I would say
1. 18 year old with 5 star rating and 3 star potential
2. 18 year old with 4 star rating and 4 star potential
3. 19 year old with 5 star rating and 4 star potential.

In this order. However, it depends on the grade rating as well. If the 18 year old with 5 star rating and 3 star potential had A- and 18 year old with 4 star rating and 4 star potential had B+, then I'd pick the 18 year old with 4 star rating and 4 star potential, since the difference between B+ and A- is pretty minor.

I'm unsure whether to sell or keep. Thank you.

Number one is the best by a mile ablthogh the height is a big worry, he could be randomly useless like my first pick the last two seasons in a row which were brilliant but with atrocious JS and one really bad inside skill to totally wreck them. For the 19 year old the sub level of the grade is the big factor. If he is A+ he may be worth more than number three, if not put the two 18 year olds first.

Man that sucks, I have so much anticipation of getting a huge player from the draft and have been losing games to get me there so getting a flop from the draft would literally give me that sick feeling you get right after you get hit in the balls lol.

Does the box score give an accurate idea of what his skills might look like?

No-one agrees with how useful the box score is although some swear by it for free throws and fouls. I value it so little to tell the truth I haven't even bothered to look at it this season.

It really shouldn't be there, for new players it is definately a thing you would trust if you didnt know any better. Maybe an official description of what a box score tells you or what it might represent would be good.

I'm not sure what sucks. That 5 star 5 potential 18 yr old looks awesome.

To thread starter. I personally would definately not place the 3 ball potential at the top. If he's all star potential it's cool, but there's the risk that he's lower than that and that really hurts his value. Further I prefer the 18 yr old with 4 ball potential of course.

Whether the 19 yr old or the 3 ball potential 18 yr old is better is up to you. Do you want to risk a potential below all star, but at the same time be sure of an 18yr old? Hard choice.
