I'm referencing that it was discussed alot now on BB and how there are overly abundant centers around the league with salaries way outrageous compared to the rest. The salaries have been reduced for this season for the centers but by very little. But it was at least a showing of initiation towards taking a step forward and fixing this issue.

Salaries were reduced overall, not just for big men. The BBs could mess around with the salary calculations and balance them between positions, but it would be a lot of work and mostly just serve the purpose of royally screwing up the finances of teams that train Guards and suddenly give teams that train big men a huge boost. If balanced perfectly, your weekly team salary would be exactly the same (what the BBs want it to be this season)

Given that balancing the salaries between big men and guards better would just cause massive issues to training teams and not actually change anything in the economics of things, why would this be a problem?

Its part of the big discussion going around here that best players in BB salaries are too high that they can't be afforded by the best teams. Centers being 600K+ while guards are about half of it makes centers in more cases than not the much liability for this issue.

there are guards over 400k, so when you take the extrem of the c you could also take the extreme of the guards ;) And at least the one i know is pretty balanced, an sg with 15 passing.

I point you to Joe Bronson:

If balancing were to occur, this Guard would suddenly be somewhere in the range of 600-700 minimum. Just as monstrous a salary as any of the big men out there, if not moreso.

The argument that's occurring with the large salary thing is more that some managers are annoyed that players with large salaries are being snapped up for one or two games to clinch specific games. Balancing salaries would just make it so that those big men would be slightly more but still by no means affordable and that "problem" would continue in a slightly reduced form.
