It doesnt seem right that when I host a playoff game I make less then a regular season game. There should be some mechanism that compensates for this. Perhaps increasing that games total income by 33%-50% for all playoff games. That might balance it out and at least make the home team make around what they normally should or more.

This would also give an important boost to those playoff teams that dont have home games. Going on the road for the first two games, now is a big time disadvantage. They still have to pay salaries and they get around 66% of a normal amount of arena income for the week.

This is especially important now that players wont take a salary for non playoff and non RL teams.

I understand you want to keep the game competitive from an economic standpoint, but I think the teams that go deep into the playoffs (on the road especially) get penalized economically right now.

I agree with you.
Increasing money for teams that go into playoffs would also establish again the equilibrium between 5th place and a team that is going to play in the playoffs.
Right now to be 5th is better than being 4th and then thrown out in the first playoff match

actually now 5th is much better than 3rd, 4th, 7th or 8th (unless 3rd or 4th can go on to the gf)

is it better than 6th? they can organise 2 home games and an away game so it depends on how risky the series is and the cost of their salaries against the income the team generates

is it better than 2nd? if you lose the first game then yes in terms of $ although the bbs have said you will be paid back the in the next season in money from good fan surveys, but even if you win you may only break even and you miss out on the prime selling time to sell high and buy low

is it better then 1st? absurd you say - but not necessarily so - if you have an expensive team and don't win the first match you will be financially worse off than coming 5th - but obviously if you are one of the best teams and have a shot at the championship then it is great, but sometimes you can e 1st but still have no chance to win because there is just that one other team you have no chance against

All NBA teams increase ticket prices for the playoffs, why not the same option to raise ticket prices for us.

33% increase, or leave to managers the opportunity to change ticket pricing.

I was 3rd, won QF, loss SF... and final income was less than any internal match...
