Hello everyone. I'm The Mogul, and I've been the Canadian U21 manager for the last four seasons. I have enjoyed doing the job, and I've decided to run again for another term. In this post, I'd like to give a brief overview of my league identity, and my history with the national team programs.
My TeamI manage Secret Agents
(24950). I started playing in season 6, in Canada III.4, and promoted to Canada II.2 at the end of season 7. After three seasons in division 2, I moved up to Naismith, and have been steadily progressing there. My records have been 9-13, 13-9, 17-5, 20-2, and 21-1 (during this past season). The last two seasons, I won the Naismith title, and this past season, I won the Canada Cup for the first time. I also played in the B3 last season, and will be the lone team from Canada in the upcoming round of BuzzerBeater's Best.
My National Team HistoryI have been the U21 manager for the past 4 seasons. The highlight on my time with the team was probably at the end of season 12, when the team qualified for the world championships for the first (and only) time. As U21 manager, I have tried to set high goals, and take each new group of players as far as they can go. On top of setting lineups and tactics, I also like to write a lot about the team, especially on the offsite froum (created by Rip). Looking ahead towards future teams, I have been heavily active with Canadian scouting efforts, and have kept a close eye on retiring prospects (who are eligible to be saved by either national team). By regularly saving players, when there is little to no cost involved, I hope to have helped strengthen the Canadian player pool for future seasons.
What to Expect If I'm ElectedI still really enjoy Buzzer Beater, and am online a lot. I currently spend a lot of time answering BB-Mails, reading the forums, and thinking about the game. I feel that I have been a highly active U21 manager, and I would be able to keep this going in seasons 16 and 17. I plan to continue providing detailed pre-game information (mainly on the offsite forum), as well as producing the "training camp" and other related threads each season. On the court, over the next two seasons, I would do my best to help the U21 advance as far as possible, while also trying to make following the team as fun as I can. In general, if I'm elected, you could expect to see more of what I've been doing for the last four seasons.
I could keep going, but I think I'll save anything else for the debate thread. Thanks for your consideration :)
