So what do I do if I'm stuck in a league that is stacked against me, even if I have a decent team?

I"m in League V.10 and the top 6 teams were all close to .500, and there was only one or two good teams in the opposite division.

Any way to get out of it? I was hoping there would be more reshuffling of teams, but our division stayed pretty much exactly the same.

I would get 3 trainees to single position train, and in 2 seasons you will have 3 15k+ salary players.

Another thing that you can do(I wouldn't) is sell all of your players(except your trainees) and buy 6 1k salary players off the TL, and save lots of money. Then when you have 2 million (3 seasons) buy a couple star players (25K+) and promote. you will also be immedietly competitive for the title in your IV league after this. If you do this though, make sure that you have trainees.

Something that you should do either way is invest a lot of money in your arena, and get it to at least 15 thousand seats. this will help a lot. This will have to happen over a long period of time. (4-5 seasons)

P.S. Looking at your roster, I think that you have too many players and should drop down to 10-12.

I said a long term goal (more than 5 seasons) I dont have that yet, but i have been adding at least 1k seats every season since I have signed up.

i think you can win this season. Just keep you gameshape up and always counter their offense with the right defense. Also, use TIE when you dont have a chance on winning and CT when the opposing team is slightly better to better. And invest on your arena. hope this helps

Thanks for the help. A couple things:

1. I haven't cut any of my drafted players yet, and I plan to. I wasn't able to scout a single rookie with 4 or 5 balls in potential...so I got a bunch of junk. Happens. I might try out the market and find something.

2. These are probably the two best players I have. Keepers?

Eric Ellison
Weekly salary: $ 6 219
DMI: 18100
Age: 19
Height: 6'5" / 196 cm
Potential: perennial allstar
Game Shape: respectable
Jump Shot: prominent Jump Range: awful
Outside Def.: respectable Handling: pitiful
Driving: inept Passing: mediocre
Inside Shot: inept Inside Def.: respectable
Rebounding: respectable Shot Blocking: awful
Stamina: respectable Free Throw: strong

AND

Paul Decrans
Weekly salary: $ 4 305
DMI: 44100
Age: 19
Height: 6'10" / 208 cm
Potential: superstar
Game Shape: respectable
Jump Shot: respectable Jump Range: awful
Outside Def.: mediocre Handling: awful
Driving: mediocre Passing: awful
Inside Shot: strong Inside Def.: average
Rebounding: average Shot Blocking: inept
Stamina: strong Free Throw: atrocious

Ellison was my draft pick last season. He progressed pretty well. More ID and IS I'm guessing? More ID/SB for Decrans?

3. I haven't looked for strategy guides for the game, so I'm not as familiar with the proper counters tactics-wise. I'll look around for that to help.

Your traianees are actually pretty good. I would Start out by trining ID on them and then IS.

And I would keep them both.

Sounds like a plan.

Since I don't have a whole bunch of really good young players, should I just do my best to specific position-train just those two and one other guy, or at least get 6 guys in per week?

I actually spent a little more on a Superior trainer, so I should get decent pops for those two.

Hate to keep asking for help, but it sure helps, and I thank you again. Any reason to work on the following players?

Leung Yick Cheung
Shooting Guard
Weekly salary: $ 6 735
DMI: 62800
Age: 21
Height: 6'7" / 201 cm
Potential: superstar
Jump Shot: proficient Jump Range: strong
Outside Def.: mediocre Handling: respectable
Driving: mediocre Passing: average
Inside Shot: pitiful Inside Def.: pitiful
Rebounding: respectable Shot Blocking: average
Stamina: pitiful Free Throw: awful

Tommy Schena
Weekly salary: $ 6 405
DMI: 35600
Age: 21
Height: 6'5" / 196 cm
Potential: allstar

Jump Shot: proficient Jump Range: strong
Outside Def.: average Handling: strong
Driving: proficient Passing: mediocre
Inside Shot: pitiful Inside Def.: average
Rebounding: inept Shot Blocking: atrocious
Stamina: mediocre Free Throw: mediocre

Wlodzemrz Julga
Weekly salary: $ 3 422
DMI: 18400
Age: 20
Height: 7'1" / 216 cm
Potential: hall of famer
Jump Shot: atrocious Jump Range: mediocre
Outside Def.: awful Handling: average
Driving: respectable Passing: inept
Inside Shot: respectable Inside Def.: average ↑
Rebounding: average Shot Blocking: mediocre
Stamina: average Free Throw: pitiful

20 and 21 aren't super old, but is it a waste to spend time working on these players?
