How fast do the skills drop the players are older than 30-32 years old? and how big of a difference does it make if you have a doctor with career extension specialty?

Don't even worry about it at age 32.
My first "depop" was on a 33 year old and my then on a 34 year old (different players).

Can you smell what the Hobos are cooking... oh wait its just Roger. (18085274)

I bought a 34 year old last year right before the season (he was 33 for a second lol). I had him the entire year and he had only one drop. I also had a trainer with career extension.

Hope that helps!

i have a really old guy who has been on my team since day 1

Marco Angrillo (11323959) Point Guard
Weekly salary: $ 2 090
Age: 37
Height: 6'0" / 183 cm
Potential: bench warmer
Game Shape: respectable
Jump Shot: pitiful Jump Range: inept
Outside Def.: inept Handling: mediocre
Driving: mediocre Passing: average
Inside Shot: mediocre Inside Def.: average
Rebounding: atrocious Shot Blocking: inept
Stamina: average Free Throw: proficient Experience: mediocre

when i started he was the best player on my team

since then he has lost the following
-1 js
-1 jr
-2 od
-2 ha
- 1 pa
-1 is
-1 id
-1 sb

so that is only 10 skills lost and he is 37 and ive never had career extension guys

i think people really worry about the de-pops way too much. if he had been better at the start he would still be good

players start to drop skills before they get 30. I'm not sure if it's 28 or 29. Anyway, this effect is very small.

When they hit 30, to 32, it goes a little faster, but you still only notice if the player was low in his subskill. After that, it faster still, but I believe that until 34, it's not realy hurtfull.

BUT, even when we do not see a down-pop, they DO still lower in skills, so they do get less good each week...

I can't look it up anymore, but as far as I remember my initial center had 1 downpop at 30, and 1 downpop in an other skill when he was 31, he then had 2 downpops when he was 32.

But this was almost 10 seasons ago...

I now have prety old players in my team. and can't recall anyone getting a downpop, but I have been training my team as a whole for years untill I started 1 position training 4 seasons ago. So many might have been high in subskills.

I'm prety sure they are dropping when they are 30, not so sure about earlier, but I vaguely remember to have read 28 or 29 somewhere in the early days.
Maybe a trainee with career extension postpones the effects with 1 year or so, or how would it work???
