OK, so I got pretty bad luck and am playing a team that is much better than me in the first round of the cup (hate the random factor). I've already played my starters twice this week, and even if I started them against this team I still probably wouldn't win. So should I start my best players for a third time this week, or give my younger players (that I am training) some playing time?

So I should give up on the 50k too?

If you don't mind losing game shape for a couple of games (and possibly losing fan support if they're gonna be tough) and you want to go for the win it's probably not that out of reach. His 1 play that is far and away better than yours has played almost 90 minutes so he will probably be sitting. And several others of his team have got ~60 minutes in so you have a chance. He may look at you as just a small lump and play TIE, fully expecting to win handily regardless of who you put out there.

It really all depends on if you think the potential 50k is worth losing some of your best players' GS or trainee minutes over.

I dunno how much effort he decided to put into it, but he's hanging in there at least in the first half. if it's just flukey behavior right now :) It looks like your offense came out better than his but you're gonna have to have a good lead heading into the fourth cuz he could very well shut you down.
