I think it would be beneficial if sometimes when players are injured they can play in games but at a reduced rate of effectiveness depending on the severity of their injury. I have seen too many times when a key player has been injured in a game within the first several minutes and has had to sit out the entire game. I think it might be more "realistic" and exciting if sometimes the injured player could return to the current game and near future games but with diminished skills. This would not happen every time an injury occurred but at some percentage of times based upon the skill of your doctor or trainer. Any thoughts ?

Maybe if they get like -1 for every skill if their injured for 1 week, -2 for every skill if their injured for 2 weeks,(etc).
In case you don't understand what i mean if player A is injured for 3 weeks and has tremendous JS it will be reduced to prominent. That way if a manger's star player gets injured they still have the choice to play him.

Just adding another suggestion: Instead of saying Player A is injured for 2 weeks which can range from 14-21 days, just say how many days he will be out. It will cause less frustration and confusion.

Yes that is what I am talking about. Where the reduction is variable depending upon the severity of the injury and the manager can still choose to play the player in subsequent games. Can be an across the board percentage decline.

Yes I understand that but I have never seen text that mentioned that a player was injured and then continued to play and in my suggestion the player would play at a decreased level with some or all stats reduced by some percentage.
