Looks like the Logout button is not there when visiting the forum and the menu is moved to the right of the page.
This happens whether using the short or long menu. (Firefox 3.6.17 on Mac OS X 10.4.11)

Yeah, not saying it suddenly disappeared, but it most likely was forgotten the first time around, and I'm just pointing out the fact.
I still consider this a bug. You should be able to log out from anywhere on the site.
