If I run an increased pace defence and a decreased pace offense in a game, does it affect stamina as if I was running 2 normal normal pace tactics?

I understand that a guicker pace tires players quicker and that a slower pace tires them slower but i was wondering if I played a fast pace offense and a slower pace defense in the same game, would they cancel each other out as far as stamina goes?

slower pace defense doesn't mean u can reserve stamina for offense

On defense its your opponent who has the ball and dictate the pace of the game,
your stamina is decided by how much effort u expel, which could not be see unless your opponent take a shot
usually the longer the opponent need to take a shot, the more effort the defense has worked, and should use more energy
