I have two league leaders in assists, Billy Valdes and Luis Mari. Now, Billy has respectable passing, but Luis has strong passing and strong handiling. Now Luis use to be my only player who was a league leader in assists, now about a couple of months ago, Billy started averaging 11 assists per game and now he's down to 9.

I mean, i'm glad i have league leaders, but i just wanted to know why the point gaurd Luis with strong passing isn't getting more assists than Billy?

Are the other players he's playing with shooting poorly, thus ruining his good pass attempts? Also, if he's playing with SG and SF with worse passing skills than Billy, the overall offensive flow of that unit might be less, and lead to less assists.

in the play by play, a potential assist will be indicated by "gets off a great pass". That's what you want to check and see if it's different between Luis and Billy

Wow, you're exactly right Manon! Billy does have higher passing than his jump shot, but his jump range and passing are the same. Luis has better jump shot than passing.

I have decent shooters around Luis, mainly my big men. Hm, that tells me i better do something about that, in terms of training. Luis is close to getting a pop in passing so that would mean proficient passing.
