I have a couple starters who are playing about 40 minutes a game, which I think is bad for their form. I'm trying to get better back ups, but is there any other way I can decrease their playing time. Will using tactics with increased pace tire them out so they are benched more often?

The simple answer is just don't start them. Play them as backups one game a week and if you have a scrimmage, make sure you don't play them at all.

But looking at your roster, I don't see anyone with terrible game shape. They're all respectable or better. So maybe you don't need to change anything.

I have another question. How many minutes should my starters play before it REALLY starts to take a toll on their game shape? I know I should try to get it as close to 48 as possible but that's kind of hard when their playing 40 minutes in one game.

55-60 minutes are ideal, +/- 15 min are still ok in my eyes

How is their stamina? If its above respectable then that may be the reason they play so much. I have a point going who gets around 40 minutes a game due to his proficient stamina.

Stamina levels:
C: Inept (I'm not worried about him so much because he only plays about 28 minutes a game).
PF: Respectable
SF: Average
PG: Average
SG: Strong
