Since I'm on MC these few days (More time to slack while I can..). I started out this thread to discuss about the NBA. Discuss anything you like. Lets begin with the NBA Final now

Prediction on Dallas vs Miami
Miami wins on 6th game

Not a great fan of Miami, but I fancy them over the aging Dallas.
Lets say if Miami can limit Dirk just like what they did to Rose from Chicago, I dont see how hard it is to win.

This is hard for me as I'm a Miami hater...but I am agree with you. LeBron is the best player in the planet right now. His pair with D-Wade is big threat on both physic and skill aspects. Mavs has the experience in J-Kidd and Dirk is underrated achiever and a quiet superstar. On the paper, Miami should be able to bull their way out.

Problem is who can guard Dirk? Most probably C.Bosh.. But I dont think he can challenge Dirk physically in the post. LeBron is a better defender, but lacks height to guard against his JS and he might be in foul trouble if Dirk draws foul. If Dirk plays hooks as well, he might become the scariest scorer ever.

In BB, you think we can train someone like Dirk? Or Channing Frye?

That's the interesting part of watching Euro style players.. they are smart. Dirk is a very good all around scorer, inside/outside, and if he gets a lot of calls from ref on a game, high chance Dallas will win.

Bosh is a good & motivated defender, but could have problem if Dirk choose to face his defender. LeBron should be the best person to guard Dirk. With his strength, he most likely will play denying game, prevent Dirk of getting the ball as few as possible. No ball for Dirk means no jumpshots. However, Dirk is smart enough to escape that, unless LeBron got chance to watch how Stephen Jackson was defending / denying Dirk.

Yes, if a 7'0" player has high RB JR JS (respectable) when he is 18yo, it is possible. Minimum superstar potential.

Saw this following discussion several days ago talking about it :

Saw the NBA Highlight game 1. Dallas is only a one-team.. Other than Dirk, the others are pulling each others' legs. Nowadays defence wins title..

Really hoped that Dirk can win this year. This might be his last chance for a NBA championship! With Miami get stronger and stronger. It's does not bode well. And yes, defense always wins championship!!

For me I wanna see a new reign.. With the late 80's Lakers to dominating 90's Bulls, early 2000's Lakers again. After that the trend has been unstable.

Dont worry Dirk is a shooter so I has long career to go. Shooter goes last with experience. Just inject some star players and he is ready to go for another shot at the title.

What an epic game 2. Dallas were trailing 15pts before mounting back to win 95-93.
Miami put wrong man on Dirk, Bosh looked shaky.

Mavs failed to protect homecourt. Looks like Miami will win the series. After 3 games, they're actually unstoppable... they led the game at the most part of the game.
