So I have these four players, but I can see any of them starting at PG, SG, or SF. Who should I start where? (I originally had player #1 at SG, #2 at PG, and #4 at SF, but I just bought #3). #2 has good inside defense, so I think wherever I play him, I should make him play defense on the small forward. Let me know if you have any ideas. Thanks.

Player #1
Jump Shot: prominent Jump Range: respectable
Outside Def.: proficient Handling: respectable
Driving: proficient Passing: proficient
Inside Shot: atrocious Inside Def.: pitiful
Rebounding: respectable Shot Blocking: respectable
Stamina: strong Free Throw: prolific

Player #2

Driving: proficient Passing: strong
Inside Shot: pitiful Inside Def.: strong
Rebounding: average Shot Blocking: pitiful
Stamina: proficient Free Throw: pitiful

Player#3
Jump Shot: wondrous Jump Range: proficient

Inside Shot: average Inside Def.: pitiful

I agree with you on this one, switch players 1 and 3, so that:
#1 PG
#3 SG
#2 SF

I would have used them as this.

PG: #3
SG: #1
SF: #2

i take your formation for defensiv assigment, and play in the offensiv end like that:

PG: 1
SG: 2
SF: 3

If the backup allow such a rotation.

Edit: and i would get rid of number four, i totally dislike player without defense her - even they could score like melo ;)

Wouldn't having a pure scorer off the bench be helpful. They'd either have to guard tired starters or backups who probably wouldn't be as adept at guarding them. If you can cover their salary, I think it can be helpful... at least to see how they'd do in that role before shipping them off.
