last few weeks Ive been getting 48 minutes on 3 SG and 3 PG - I set a player in each position and have no backups I have reserves and I use strictly follow depth chart as well as 'let them play' when it comes to personel fouls and it has been working fine.

Todays game I had two players come into the game instead of my actual PG and SG who werent even set in the depth chart, they were just on the selected player roster part - is that a bug? if not how can I ensure players will play 48 minutes... because I thought I managed to find out a way. :(

it was an blowout, that means the bench come in, and the player where on the bench. Just take player with you who are assigned as staters or backups when you target the 48 minutes playing time.

Ok reserve can come with you, if they are behind a double backup, and backing up the exactly the same position like him.

I`ve made the same mistake before. If they`re not on your depth chart make sure they`re off your active roster completely or they`ll come in and play during blowouts every time.

ok thanks for the info, didnt know on blowout the orders you set are ignored (why is that? if I say strictly from depth chart surely thats what it means :P - it seems on blowout it just goes to coach decides in 4th or something ?)

Sorry bit new to the game, only really took control and sorted out a training program after I got promoted and didnt see myself winning many games let alone by the margin I did in my last one. When I get relegated will be good to know that upon a blowout coach goes AWOL :D

blowout have rules who are more important, and they need you rest your starters for more important games and give the backups some practice. This is sometimes biased, but if you keep that in mind you run good. But the coach won't switch position of assigned players.
