Are your choices for hiring staff only the ones listed on the staff page? Only one per position. Is there a place to go that has multiple staff to choose from at various levels. I have a trainer level 1 and it seems the only choice I have to replace him is a level 9.

The three on offer changes every week (on Monday). You just have to keep checking each week.

Once you hire a staff member, his skill will start to deteriorate, so you also need to check from time to time that your staff haven't dropped in talent.

I just got a team yesterday....

What kind of staff should i be looking for? I already read that i should take a PR level 3. Is that true?

And a 10trainer is ofcourse the best, training-wise, but can i affort that salary-wise?

Thanks in advance

the trainer is only worth it when you have the right people to train!

as your team is new i doubt you have many stand out players or even if you were to train 5-6 people they may improve your team but not necessarily become valuable enough to sell and make a justifiable profit.

i would therefore look to do the following; see if you can sell anyone to raise cash and buy three 19yo's max (hopefully 2 if you have 1 good trainee prospect.)

If you train guards play them in the PG position only to improve OD or PA and then in the SG position for JR and train using a lvl8+ trainer intensively for a season. If you train Centers try using the training regimes specifically for C's only and try to create 3 good players as quick as you can. As you only have scrimmage possibilities for the next few weeks this will be your best bet.

This way you will have 3 good players that you can keep or sell for cash to start a 5-6man training routine.

Everyone should eventually reach their goals in this game but they will be achieved faster with cash - you will be able to afford the coach if you trim down your roster to 10-11 people (inc. trainees) dont be afraid to fire people that just arent good enough - this will save you a lot...

PR guy? not sure... i waited for a while - just try train 3 good players and enjoy the success on court they will bring and the value they are building up behind the scenes should you go on to sell them.

its all about $$$$$$$$$

Thanks for the info so far..

I already fired 4 players and 5 players are on the transferlist. Do you think these players will sell. If yes, what are they worth?....That leaves 9 people

I now have a core group, maybe 1 or 2 more have to go. First im going to see what kind of ratings i will achieve tonight ( cant wait!!! woopsee! )

This is my plan, please tell me if something is wrong about this:

Im planning to train the C en PF spot. in IS, ID and some rebounding if neccesary to level all ratings..

I already have 2 players in my team who are usefull to train.

Centre
MarkPaul Kalff (4200947)

Weekly salary: $ 4 234
DMI: 10200
Age: 20
Height: 7'0" / 213 cm

Jump Shot: atrocious Jump Range: pitiful
Outside Def.: respectable Handling: respectable

Inside Shot: mediocre Inside Def.: average
Rebounding: average Shot Blocking: respectable

Centre
Lambert Averdonk (4200948)

Weekly salary: $ 5 667
DMI: 12200
Age: 22
Height: 6'10" / 208 cm
Game Shape: respectable
Jump Shot: average Jump Range: respectable
Outside Def.: atrocious Handling: inept
Driving: atrocious Passing: mediocre
Inside Shot: average Inside Def.: average
Rebounding: respectable Shot Blocking: respectable
Stamina: awful Free Throw: average

I know, they are not 18/19, but i already have these player on my roster, and if i wanna begin training as soon as possible these 2 can play tonight

Im going 2 buy 2 other trainees of the age of 18/19 with mediocre/average levels and try to look for a lv8 trainer, as you said.

Is this plan ok. Or is the idear about training a 20 and 22 years old not good?

the plan seems okay for me.
you will notice a diffrence in training speed between the 20 and 22 year old, and ofcourse between them and the 18/19 year olds, but you also need to win your games.
Winning games is the most important for any team. Since you cannot afford 18/19 year olds that are equally good, or slightly better than the 2 you have, I'd play them and train them along with your youngster you will buy.

you will be good!

about the PR man: it's depending on the league you are in. For Division 2 I'd say you need at least a level 6 or 7 to be able to charge a better price for tickets. For division 3 I'd say level 5 PR man, division 4 I'd say at least level 3, and any lower... I'd still say level 3. Level 3 shuold cost too much, but might make you able to raise ticket prices a bit, so you don't need to make expensie expansions right away. Be very carefull with raising ticketprices! it could hit you hard. Start with small raises, and only if you already sell enough seats, never raise more than 10% at a time, I'd recommend a 3 to 5% raise each time.

Good luck!

They are not your friends; they dispise you. I am the only one you can count on. Trust me.

Thank you.

That was also my idear. Im standing at pos 8 right now, not the most comfortable position And those 20/22 years old are quite good. In 5 hours (!) im playing my first match. Damn i should be ashamed of myself, i feel like a little kid, so exited.

BTW, i just bought my first trainee. He is 19 and fits the center position perfectly. So one more player and im good to go.

So you say i need a PR5 in my division. Also when you look at my situation? Place 8, buttom of the division?

Now i have to wait for a 8+ trainer to come by......
