Does anyone have information, or links to threads, that explains what the criteria for position switching is? What are the cutoff points for skills to determine position? For example, at what point will a point guard turn to a shooting guard? When will a center turn into a point guard? Are position switches based on the ratio of skills to other skills? Or a position switch more based on a concrete line for a skill, that once passed, will also switch the position?

There's an online version: http://www.how8.com/bb/index.php

It does show the unadjusted salary though, so bear in mind that nowadays, players are quite a bit cheaper than they were back when that site went online.

Hm that's pretty neat and definitely useful. I'm still wondering how position is determined though, and more specifically at what points a position switch will occur. So for example, if I trained a point guard until 15 inside defense, 15 shot blocking, but kept his rebounding and inside shot to around 6 or 7, would his position remain a point guard?

The highest salary displayed determines the position. Just play around with this tool to preview the development of your players.
