I think that rather than having the current system of 5k for 1 point a week, 10k for 2 points a week, 20k for 3 points a week and 40k for 4 points a week, we need a new system.
The system I am proposing allows us to buy as many points as we want, whenever we want.
I think that there should be a textbox where you enter the number of scouting points you want to buy, and it will cost you 7.5k per point. You could buy 100 points in one go if you wanted, or buy one point at a time.
It would be easy to program, and it would speed up the financial update each week, and it would allow people to do their scouting in one go rather than do a tiny bit each week.

And the reason why we need this is...?

The reason is that at the moment you have to wait every week to be able to get a few extra scouting points. But what's the point? Why not allow us to buy as many scouting points as we wish at any given point in time?

Perpete, exactly :P I hate having to wait every single week for an extra 4 scouting points which I use in less than a minute. I want to be able to just buy 50 scouting points right now and get all my scouting done instead of worrying about it each week hahaha.

Because in real life you can't buy 50 scouting points whenever you want ;-) And therefore you must buy 4 points every week ;-)

because nowadays you could get an advantage through planning, because buying a llot of points in a short time is more expensiv then buying few point over a longer period.And yes they might be a case where late (expensiv) investment make sense out of strategical reasons, your team underperforming and the draft get more valuable, you don#t spot the player you like to see with your drafting points or reduce it after finding him ... But overall you make your plan about draft investment on the beginning of the season, and even the adjustment get better when you make them earlier.

With your system, the strategic decision would be invest late, so that you could use the money at the beginning of the new season, and then buy till you are a happy.

I guess the point is to make the draft relevant for the entire season, not just scouting deadline.

And it´s not even far from beeing realistic. You collect your impressions over a long period of time. You could add a special scouting feature though called "camp", in which every team can invite 3 players for a scimmage workout and gets insight to let´s say ... 3 skills, which are displayed with a small error margin?

Different kinds of camps available - like ...

(1) Big Men Camp

will deliver insight into one of the following big guy skills: ID, IS, Reb for each of the three players (maximum margin of error 1)

(2) Shooting Camp

will deliver insight into one of the following shooting skills: JS, JR, IS

(3) Defense Camp

will deliver insight into one of the following defensive skills: OD, ID, Reb

and

(4) Guard Camp

will deliver insight into one of tthe following Guard skills: OD, JR, Passing

You can invite any three players from the list. Camp to be held during the last training update of the season.

Would add some spice to the scouting and increase realism.
