Wht is the best defense to use against outside isolation? Would a 3-2 or 1-3-1 be good?

try man to man and designate your best outside defender against the best scorer in the other team.....suggestion only

I haven't seen any difference in the isolation, outsie or inside looks for the best offensive player. I once ran an outside isolation and my centre finished as the highest scorer, with almost no threes. it's pretty similar to patient, but not as slow and with more scoring.

You may try defense 4+1... that should be the ideal fit on paper, but didn't try that one yet.

I'd go with Outside Box & One. You should get a boost in your outside defense without killing inside 'D' or rebounding. Also, there's no chance of having a wrong defensive assignment if your opponent changes his best shooter's position.

See what position their outside scorer is, and set your best perimeter defender to guard him.
