How did I lose this match?http://www.buzzerbeater.com/match/33235103/boxscore.aspx

I believe I had the better players and put more effort into the match.

When I was watching the game I was satisfied with my bigmen doing work inside. But i was in disbelieve as when my outside players particularly when my PG took shots he kept missing shot after shot. 3 - 22 FG. He is known to be a scorer before I bought him.

And to add to further disbelieve is that my SG, one of the best 20 year old trainees was completely shutdown. Its like he did not turn up for the match in the most important match of my teams season. Can you actually believe that. 0 points.

Is my opponents team putting out some shutdown D men cause I dont believe so. I think my outside players are at the same level or better than the opponents outside players. So how did they completely shutdown my outside players?

And how did his Center put up a 12.0 match rating against my inside players particularly Märt Raud? I have like 3 bigmen who are among the best in my current league.

thats also a bad day from him, he should have hit around 6 of 22 depending on the matchup rating, but it is hard to translate stats from one team to another. Shooting percentage depends of the opponents defence, the help of the teammates(passing and creating own good shots to split the defence and don't force hard shots), kind of offence and so on.

I believe I had the better players and put more effort into the match.

i believe your SF hurt you a lot, because you played four against 5.

match rating mostly depends on the own ability to play, so he would make this 12 Rating most likely against your SF or your Star Center. but i think in terms of produktion your men obviously win the match up, because he is the better player.

And overall you also could win those game, but your backcourt produktion was very bad - and your SF was even worse.

give credit to your opponent

he obviously shut ur SF/SG/PG down to a combine 8/46

and that center matchup is why salary and team rating doesn't reflect the game

Another proof that match ratings are not everything. And let's face it, your opponent is not that bad at all. Plus, you had an 18 year old SF with less than 5000 salary for 43 minutes...

I give him all the credit thats why i played at a higher enthusiasm :)

yes, I do agree with you that match ratings are not conclusive on how the game works. He shut my PG/SG/SF down but that was totally unexpected before the game. This is like a TOTAL shut down. I don't think a TOTAL shutdown was ever expected. maybe a shutdown but not a total one. If my PG shot just a little better and my SG had more than 0 points it would be a different outcome for sure.

I mean if your star trainee SG who has better attributes and skills than your opponent surely you will never expect him to get 0 points.

Before the game it wasn't expected his OD would have such an effect on my outside offense.

I was also surprised he only took 5 shots as well and though I played LI and it seems it has no problem in letting Viktor Gaál take all those outside shots and missing them.

Maybe this is something the BBs need to look into regarding the fact that the BBs have said that Buzzer Beater is modeled after the real NBA. In the NBA, we go to the "hot hand" and not the guy that clanks shot after shot.

there is hot hand and there is also cold hand

ur PG/ SG took all those shot because

1. LI gave all the advantage in the early shot clock(10s)in the paint, and u clearly won
2.but after that ur advantage diminish, and enter the 2nd phase of ur offense now thats where the OS VS Offensive Flow and and u got a few more looks inside
3. now the is ticking, and ur PG still couldn't find an opening inside, what should he do? thats where OS VS PD comes in, and because of LI your players‘ outside skills were penalize . It doesn't matter if they have all the skills in the world if they only have limited time and space with a cold hand on the field

in the real NBA, you often try to etablish your scoring option with giving him new oppurtunities ;)

And in reality the hot hand is a bigger factor, and decision making is probadly a bit weaker because here you had better knowledge of your chanches(most likely a reason why your sg takes so few shots - with 0-5 you could also argue that the engine recognized his off night with an SF who is overmatched too you already play 3 vs 5 which makes it hard to get the ball of for your PG).
