My star PG got injured in the first game of the finals, with 10 seconds left! 2 week injury, so I am without him for the rest of the finals. There goes my hopes of promotion!! :(

It's fair because the same thing can happen to your opponent.

Well my best advice is get a player who is little bit below him or mimic his skills some with a back up player. I have a pg who is good for me know and my back up is just as good him just 1 level below him in most skill slots. A 1 man band is good but if he gets hurt or something then band over :( .. Thats why its best to have a player who can play 2 slots pg and sg or mimic your stars skills with a back up player thats 1 level below his skills or equal in some stats/skill lsots . Better safe than sorry..

I also wish you the best of luck with your games. Good luck . and nothing is fair unless you try to even the odds a little bit. Its depends on how you approach things. Aways plan ahead : )

Yes. This is fair. But you cannot deny that it is very frustrating. Its the finals, and we are really evenly matched, so to see my starting PG go down, and rely on my backups is asking a lot.

To my advantage, I was able to scrape out a win today on his home floor. Hopefully a crunch on my home court will do it!

@op
If you crunch on your court THEN it will be even.

You are complaining way too much.
Last season the title was stolen from me because my starting SF was injured only 1 minute and 15 seconds into game 1. I lost this game because of that. He was out for rest of series.
Then I had to use my two trainees to use massive OD him to stop him in game 2. (They both had great OD) but they were injured in game 2 later in the game so I still won. They were both out of the series now.
Third game I had no one left to use and no tactics left so I lost.

Shit happens and more than we thought.

But that sux, cause in real life my favorite team's players never get injured, the refs always get it right and unfair shit never happens!

Nice advice for a V. or IV. Division team. But for teams of higher leagues its really hard to do it this way, because one can barely afford 3 backups that are (almost) as good as the starters. At least in case you want a roster that can compete for demotion.
