The additional problem with a player being on the bids page is that once his transfer time has passed, the player is removed from the bids page, which makes it difficult to check what the final selling price of the player was (unless he has been bookmarked, therefore a disadvantage to non-supporters).

You just need to know who sold the player and look at the transfer history for that team. It is not a monetary or game disadvantage to a team if they want to know who beat them in a bid and for what price.

But if I am looking at, say, five or six centers on the TL, in order to remember the 5 or 6 teams that are selling them I would likely need a method of bookmarking those teams (again requiring supporter). Otherwise I would have to send messages to myself (and I have yet to see if I can even do this) with the team name copied/pasted.

I think my suggestion was more along the lines of being able to track a player you have bid on even after his transfer deadline has passed, rather than having him disappear from the bids page altogether.
