When a team promotes from lower divisions to higher ones, there is a cash prize based on the league they are entering. However, once a team has reached the top division/league, how come there is not some type of financial reward?
I understand that when a team promotes, they will probably need extra cash to be competitive in the higher division. At the same time, if a top tier team wins, shouldnt they receive even 300k or something that would visibly set them apart (and i know that attendance and season ticket holders go up) from the 2nd place team - aside from a trophy?
Just wondering, would like to know everyone's thoughts.
