It's supposed to be
but I have trained JS for wingmen 7 times in 2 seasons
My SG still hasn't popped in IS and he's Atrocious
he was also 18 and 19 yrs old in those seasons
that hasn't made sense

There have been several people who have reported zero pops in IS after a full season of training JS for wingmen. I'm pretty sure it's inaccurate on that point.

IS as a secondary for wingmen JS training will take forever. I've trained 18 year old rockie on JS for 1 full season (as a wingmen) and never popped in JS.
Sometime back I used the Hungary NT forum training speed prediction...whatever and it said 24 weeks for my 19 year old to get a pop in IS if I train his JS as a wingman.

So maybe a player can get a pop in IS from JS training as a wingman, but will take a looooooooooong time.

Jeez
seems ridiculous now to have jammed some of my SG in at SF
in the hopes of getting a long term IS pop.
Sad that the training speed for that item hasn't been updated
