I was reading the thread on the potential formula the other day, and I wanted to make a calculator for it, so I updated the bb-salary-calc I made a few months earlier and added potential cap calculation in it.

As I was doing it, I realized I had to have some coding skills if I wanted to make it nice, so as I was going through the syntax I realized I wouldn't be to hard to update the salary formula to include Josef-Ka's adjustments for season 16's monster salaries, which is the latest to date as far as I know.

Then I thought what the hell so I also included a little enthusiasm script I made a long time ago in another tab of the spreadsheet.

So if you want a straight forward calculator with big text for readability, or if you don't want to wait for Josef-Ka's update, check it out and tell me what you think!

Great tool, but I have hard time using it...it's in French

Is it possible you'd make one in English too? And how does the enthusiasm script work? Thanks!

Oops, the original is in English, but somehow I set the default download as the French version

Sorry, it's fixed now!

project home: (https://sourceforge.net/projects/bb-salary-calc/)

download the English version from there.

alternatively,
English download: (http://sourceforge.net/projects/bb-salary-calc/files/bb-s...)
French download: (http://sourceforge.net/projects/bb-salary-calc/files/bb-s...)

And how does the enthusiasm script work?
Replace the value under "Normal" with the your team's enthusiasm before the game.
The values under "Normal", "TIE"(take it easy) and "CT" (crunch time) is your enthusiasm after the game. (Of course if you play "normal" it doesn't change)
Then you see how it evolves each day (no difference whether you played "normal", TIE or CT in your last game.)

Basically if you have 6.5 enthusiasm on Saturday (Day0) you can see what will be your enthusiasm on Tuesday (Day3) if you play (on Saturday) "normal", TIE or CT.

I uploaded the xls version, but couldn't test it to see if it works. It was exported to excel format from openoffice. Let me know. Thanks.

I tried to change numbers under Normal Enthusiasm and numbers in player chart at salary calculator but nothing changes. It could be because I fail at Excel :/ Noob me.

i would love a potential calculator but after downloading this all i have is dozens of random folders and random files, no exes and nothing that seems to open in any spreadsheet program

for example in the root directory i have folders configuration, meta-inf, thumbnails and files content, meta, mimetype, settings and stles

none of these seem to do anything useful

What file did you download and was there anything already inside the root directory you mention?

All you need to do is open the .ods file using the excellent–yet free–OpenOffice suite.

-Use this link to get the file: (http://sourceforge.net/projects/bb-salary-calc/files/bb-s...)
-Download the OpenOffice suite here: (http://www.openoffice.org/)
-Try right clicking on the file itself and select "open with->OpenOffice".

There is indeed a Excel version of my tool available for download, but I haven't tested if it is compatible, so beware.
If you don't want to download OpenOffice, you can download the untested Excel version of the tool here:
(http://sourceforge.net/projects/bb-salary-calc/files/bb-s...)->Excel 97/2000/XP
or (http://sourceforge.net/projects/bb-salary-calc/files/bb-s...)->Excel 95
or (http://sourceforge.net/projects/bb-salary-calc/files/bb-s...)->Excel 5.0
However it is likely you will encounter compatibility issues, because this excel version was created by OpenOffice as an attempt to replicate an excel file.

Hope you find a solution, any problem just ask

There's also a salary calculator on the buzzer-manager site (www.buzzer-manager.com) . I think it hasn't been totally updated after the recent salary adjustments, but it is still probably pretty useful. If nothing else it'll tell you the upperbound in a guy's new salary.
