My understanding is that the difference between Coach picks from Depth Chart and Coach picks STRICTLY from Depth Chart is that the latter implies that the time played by each player is set while the former allows the coach to swap out the players whenever he wants but still only within the depth chart. Is that right?

I ask because in my last game (a blowout) my SG only got 36 minutes and got swapped for someone not in the depth chart. I had him listed in all three positions with 9 players and all players assigned somewhere else.

But the coach should still pick only from depth chart, isn't it? At least in principle?

It's really messed up! Because in a blow out your coach will play your substitute C as SG, and you reserve SF as C!
Why?!!!! It's just really very stupid. The only way now seems to be selecting only 5 players, but there's no guarantee the "coach" won't swap positions in the garbage time just for the sake of pissing your head off!
