I'm 5-0 in my V league right now. I'm one position training three guards (Rudas, Tarantino, Fernandez). My team is not great and I fear that if I promote to IV that I'll be relegated if I don't make some serious improvements. My question is, what should I do?

Should I go out and buy a dominant big man to carry me?

Should I buy two more guard trainees next year and two position train?

Any help would be appreciated.

I was in the same boat as you last year. I would buy 2 15-20K big men instead of 1 dominant as that means an injury isn't going to completely derail your team. If you can find a good SF then I would get him but I haven't found any keepers without breaking the bank. However you can easily get 2 good big men for 300K. Then after you get some good players I would start expanding the arena. I am currently 4-1 in my first season in League IV, and I am making about 75K per week.

Also when you get the big men make sure you get at least 1 with decent secondaries to play as PF and makes sure both can play D but both don't need to be great scorers. Just my two cents

i would do like he said and buy two above average big men for under 500k. they should both have atleast 11 id so that you can guard anybody inside. If you do that you should not have to replave either of them the entire time you are in DIV.

If you get a 2 big men, both with sensational ID and like proficient IS while you train your guards to be offensive players you won't relegate unless you make really dumb decisions. In your first season of div IV aim for 5th place or higher. As long as your team is decent you won't relegate especially if you are training good.

Also many teams in DIV don't manage GS so if you keep your players at strong/proficient with an occasional respectable you will be a playoff contender.

But there's no need to buy the big men immediately, is there? You can wait till closer to the playoffs and save on salaries.

And I like to see my players dominating the leader board.

If you are sure you will win the league with your current roster, it would be a waste of money to buy two big men. Why spend more on salaries if you are going to promote anyway?

Save that money and use it to stabilize yourself in the higher league next season once you promote. And don't worry about relegation; you only need to find one opponent in your conference and have more wins than him, and then you have to beat the 6th team in other conference in relegation matches. And if you save your money, you will be able to buy those big men when the need arises (so before the relegation matches) and not a week before that. Money is very important in BB, so don't make your team stronger than it needs to be for your goals.
