Some leagues have tanking or inactive teams, meaning free PD when you play them. If the balance of tankers/bots is uneven between the conference, one is given a large inherent advantage.

What if PD were capped at, say, +30 for any given game? If you win by 35, or by 60, you get +30 PD, etc.

I don't know if it's the best idea, but I'm throwing it out there regardless to see what people think.

Each team plays each conference opponent twice and each non-conference opponent once. So teams with a tanker in their conference are given a PD advantage.

If you have a really good team, you'd come close to maxing out the +30 every game, anyways. You could theoretically still earn a PD of +660, a number few teams (outside of the lower leagues) come close to as it is. Ideally this wouldn't have much effect at all, other than decreasing the advantage of having a tanker in your conference.

I see your point, but the PD is just a tie-breaking criterion, so it's not that important. The biggest influence it could have would be if the teams meeting in the finals had the same record, and then the team who faced the tanker twice could have an advantage. But they would have to win all their other games by similar margins for you to be able to single out this game as the difference maker

i had to play my rival on tv away 2 days before he went bot

it was early season so he had no bad gs effects from his running the same lineup always but it did make it very predictable

but as my rival on tv & an away game & i had 2 of my starters (pg & c) out injured i had to run my best roster & play normal to win i won but was put out of the cup that week as a result

from then on everyone else plays scrubs & wins by 50-70

cant do anything about bots but tanking teams can have the same effect

often they play for a bit then decide they cant make their goal or have won enough games & then pull the plug

it can be a massive imbalance

also lot of team tank just single games, but wouldn't that become way to confusing if the change the results afterwards? I mean you look at the standing and see 600 points made 500 point against me but hey PD is 40.

Or when you win a game 101:55 and in standing is a 75:55 shown ...

And i don't think thats worth the benefit you get from such borders.

Scores would still show the same, but the PD credit given would be lower. The only reason to do it is to weaken, but not eliminate, the PD effect of playing poor competition.

but wouldn't it confusing when 600 and 500 have a difference of 40? Many people already have trouble to see what this row means.

Shouldn't 1vs1 record be before away record? I know that you don't want it first because in inter-conference play it would be unfair for that to be the first deciding factor, but it should be before home record. Just think if you beat someone twice in league play but you lose because they got more away wins than you. Its just as stupid as losing the tiebreaker because they had a higher PD then you did.

Also for tiebreaker in your division (great 8 or big 8) they could have your division record be a tiebreaker.
