I have a small forward that is 30 years old and I don't believe that he has reached his prime yet even though he is kind of old. He has great ball handling ability and an excellent driving ability and all his other skills are at least average but he has a pitiful inside shot. Do you think that its too late for him to bring his inside shot up to around prominent by the start of next season? Also do you think that the new cross training program will help speed up the process? thanks for answering :D

He's not only too old to be trained, he is way too old. It will take ages and if you start next season, he'll be 31. He'll have his first skill downs at the age of 33 most likely. Look for a younger player to train!

It is way to late to train him. He would be lucky to get two IS pops by the start of next season. Find some 18-19 year olds to train.

And he's only 203 cm to boot. If you train him one-position IS through all season, you will be lucky to get 3 pops out of him. Compare this to a 18y old with at least 215cm height who could have 6-7 pops minimum in the same time and you will see why training a 30y old would be a waste of time.

Thanks. I have a 213 cm power forward that is going to start for my team next year that is 21 and has mvp potential. I am training his inside shot right now along with my other forwards and centers. So hopefully he should at least see 2-3 pop ups before next season so i can get rid of my 32 year old pf.

My plan is to get his stats up a bunch so I can sell him along with my 32 power forward next year. then get a bunch of money for them. then hopefully i can get decent rookies with high potentials and/or get 1-2 great players with all the money i earned and they will hopefully be in the 22-25 year old range. So that is my plan for next year

Exactly. Four season ago I started with 18yo with 4.5k salary and 19yo with 5k salary. 18yo already surpassed 19yo in salary and skills after four seasons of training. And this is only one year of difference. Immagine 21yo and 30yo...no contest really. I still got 10-11 pop-ups per season from 21y old. 30y old would get 2-3.

Do you think if I train my younger players Fidelis, and Joshua in Jump Range and Jumpshot, but then also get Danas my old 29 year old in on League games can he still pop from average to respectable Jumpshot by seasons end?

He can depending on where his sublevel is but even so, it will take forever to train.

Most teams train guys up to 25/26 at max for refining reasons and it is always better to be training younger guys rather than old veterns as it takes too long for a pop
