Was surprised to see that this thread had not been opened yet... although I did not check very hard. Anyways, this season seems fairly interesting lots of good matchups early!

Personally I got knocked out early(forgot to set lineup and lost in a walkover against a bot.....) and have not really made any deep runs in my 7 seasons in BB, but in those 7 seasons I have found out a couple of things.

Its not who ends up winning that really interests me, at all. Its usually decided before the tournament finishes or narrowed down to two teams. I mean Secret Agents will probably win and they will most likely face either the Philosopher Kings or Genso Suikoden II in the finals, unless they face earlier in the tournament which brings me to my next point.

I love looking for those big matchups early, like two naismith teams meeting in the third round ((38917202)) I usually end up laughing at their misfortune... then forget to set my lineup.

I also like seeing which unlucky has to go against the favourite(Secret Agents) and at first I feel sorry for them, then I laugh at them, however they are usualy a bot team so...

I enjoy seeing what division II team makes that huge run into the semis or even finals and I root for them to win the Canada Tournament and then not promote so that we have a div II team in B3, I think thatd be really cool!

Finally, what interests me the most about the Canada Tournament are the division III teams and who ends up being the last div III team alive. I think the div III teams are the most interesting because they are at a disadvantage financially, but can still do some damage and watching them knockout div II or even possible Naismith teams is so fun! Division III teams are the true dark horses of this tournament and the most fun to watch, in my opinion.

Anyways, I seem to have just rambled on, anyone agree with me on these interests vs the actual winner of the tournament?

Or does anyone just wanna complain about how bad their schedule is? ;) this is the thread all about the Season 17 Canada Tournament, talk about whatever! :)

I want to complain both about schedule and game outcome :D

Very tough opponent, and injury of my PG didnt help either, but I still believe I should have won (HCA, same effort, better tactic, I overpower his defence, he doesnt overpower mine, much better rebounding on my side).

This game cost me ton of money since I wont get anymore bonuses for cup wins. It also costs me some games in league due to GS issues. :/

Well I just beat a div II team! And they went deep last season as a div III team and then I drew the Secret Agents, for the second season in a row. sigh

I think Hosers is doing something right against inside offenses that isn't reflected in the ratings.

i love ur opinion in this post. i think you've made some good points that i didnt notice at all. most importantly it is good for u to have fun in this game then u will be motivated to keep playing it. i quite enjoy reading this and wish u could come to Naismith earlier.

im so sorry to know that since it means i dont have a chance to revenge in this season's tour game.

You can't just look at the game ratings and go my prominent inside scoring was better than his strong inside defence so I should have won. There's a lot more to the game than just looking at the ratings. Look at the Points per 100 shots and you lost in 4 of the match ups. He was +18 on 3 pointers and +4 on free throws. It also doesn't help that your backup PF was a -22 in 16 minutes of action.

Hosers has more depth than you and I think that can play a huge part. I have a pretty weak bench and in Naismith when I lose games that are somewhat close I always find my reserves getting beat up out there.

I don't really follow the unlucky lads that draw the favourites, as long as it's not me, I'm fine, but everything else is on the money.
And I think they should have a trophy for the last divIII and II team standing, I was the last divIII team standing for season 14 :p

my bench was weak in that game only because of injury of my PG. Anyway. I think that per 100 rating is somehow based on team ratings. They are both made by players.

Tactic was better on my side, and so were ratigns (overall. I dont look only at inside scoring, but also reboudning and outside def on my side.). HCA was also mine. It had to be just bad luck, because I believe that fair result would be my win by 5-10 points in regular time

the schedule makers really don't like me :(
