I really don't think this illegal to discuss, so I'll just post this and if the GMs or BBs can close the thread if they want.

In the semifinals in my league (USA III.6) I CTed because they were the team that gave me the most trouble previously and I was most worried about beating. I know that this was a big risk but I really had to beat them. I went Normal for the first game of the Finals and I won. I plan on CTing for game 3 if I Iose game 2, so I'm wondering if I should TIE in game 2 just in case I need the Enthusiasm for the last match. Or would it be better for me to Normal or CT for game 2? I'm really stumped.

I'm not sure why it would be illegal to discuss. If anything, you're giving your opponent some insight (assuming you're being truthful!).

I have to say, I like the challenge of managing enthusiasm over a three-game series. Makes things very interesting, and it's quite easy to second-guess yourself.

My situation is very similar to yours - I won the first game of the finals at home, and now I need to decide if I want to try to close out the series in game 2 or hold off a bit and save my strength for the game 3 at home. Decisions, decisions..

I can't bring myself to give you advice in case my opponent is reading this! :)

Well I wouldn't put that sort of information in here if your opponent is checking the forums. lol

But put TIE on the second game IF it is away, because they are more likely to win anyway. If it is at home you could try and put CT again and see if you can push your team all the way. DO NOT leave it on normal.

Either have a planned loss and come back to CT for the last OR CT him now and hope that you win.

Hm, yeah, along the lines I was thinking, but not sure whether it would work...

Anyways I wouldn't worry about the other guy reading this, it's managed by a bot. In fact, i there are only 2 other humans in my league, and I don't think either made the playoffs. Kinda strange for Div III I thought, but I'm planning on being promoted anyways, so I'm not gonna fret over it.

That is not that strange the bots are not that easy to beat. You have to study their strengths just like you do with human players. The only thing is human players also change their tactics.

Wouldn't a human order be training his players and potentially purchasing better players?
