Second Team:
Euphoria Seekers
My team has hit a plateau and I'm perplexed as to how to get good enough to make it to Div II. My team: (28479)

I think my strengths are depth and balance. With the exception of SG, I have 2+ quality players at every position ((9357349) is not my PF, but rather my starting SF). My team also has a very low foul rate, so my opponents don't get many free throw attempts.

Rather than employ a big-time Center, I've gone with the twin towers approach, thinking that I will benefit from always having a good Center on the floor, but that can be a weakness against great Centers. Without doubt, my defense needs to be better, particularly OD.

My players are well-balanced, overall, which I think leads to cost-effectiveness, but I still have budgetary trouble. Having no USA stars restricts my merchandise sales, but my staff expenses are far below the league average and I don't spend a dime on scouting. I know I could make more money if I expanded my stadium while lowering prices, but I'm not sure that is the right move to make given the long-term payout.

I'm training my future SF (18404457), while finishing off my PG (14400314) and PF (14607646). I suppose, in the back of my mind, I'd like to purchase a nice USA center when the opportunity presents itself. Any and all advice welcome. Thx

I think you answered your own question. You definitely need stronger OD.

You could probably use a PG with better passing as well, seeing as your offensive flow is pretty bad. It seems like you're set with your inside scoring and your inside D isn't bad either. Your outside shooters dont seem to be that great of shooters either, so you're a bit one dimensional. If an opponent wants to run 2-3 on you and can still cover your outside shooting, it leaves you pretty vulnerable.

But yeah, the major problem is OD.

Good analysis!!

I believe that I'm on a similar situation, focusing on depth rather than on 70 k stars. I've lost 3 finals in a row, can you check my team too?

I believe that my advantages are defense and depth, but sometimes I'm weak on the offensive side.
If anyone cares to watch my squad, many thanks in advance (and don't count Redko Pekavic because he'll be gon soon).

what i think u should do is maybe focus on either ur post offense or outside offense and instead of having so much depth especially in the post you should have like 6 players that can start for you and 2 that are your key players ur backcourt seems good and u have a good SF and C now so 1st thing get like 7k backup SF since u want some depth aswell and then shift ur focus to bringing in a monster PF, so basically i say keep Kiunas Suelves and yanez and sell the rest of ur post players and u should get around 1 mill from that and invest all that money along with any cash u have and bring in a PF with around 60k salary and run ur offense thru the SF PF and C postions and idk how ur stamina is but get that to respectable and just play them and u should be fine and u can always switch the offense up since u got a great team overall and not be predictable.... and idk how good ur best player is on offense but Suelves seems really good and his FG% is high and im guessing all the other centres are good on defense so even thou u mite lose them to bring in a star whos great in offense, he will surely be as good on defense so u dont lose much with that and u will have enough depth to beat any team and stars to pull out a hard one....... hope that helps a bit :)

Thanks!! I was thinking about doing that, I'm planning on selling Redko but wasn't sure about selling Rongyao and Pisani.

In my league, the main teams tend to have great outside scorers and awesome inside defenders. Would this data change your advise?

Thanks again!!

Idk if ill change my advise but most of the main teams have an Strong rating on ID but what i see is that even thou that mite be the case u can still win ur league since you have the best team and the 2nd best team is on your side and after the top 3 teams rest are like whatever n beatable so what u can do is bring in a PF and play an inside offense the rest of the season and be predictable and then just play an outside offense against Quimica cause even if all the teams have good defense u will still beat them because overall ur teams better and u will end up with homecourt advantage and u can beat Quimica by changing ur tactics basically and i use a low post offense normally or look inside and i have played against a ID with a respectable rating and my best player is tremendous in IS and he had 39 pts so even with a strong defense if u have a really good offensive player u will be fine

I concur. An ASCII art illustration will clear things up immensely.

Capital letters, periods, I don't care. Just something to break up the thoughts.

Though on the other hand, diagramming these run-on beauties makes for a nice diversion when you're on the crapper.

Yeah, your plans for the evening really go downhill when kLepTo is on the crapper.
