Are the only sources of team income (aside from beginner money), Merchandise Income, Arena Income and TV Inomce?

From this, we must pay player and staff salaries and if we have leftover money we can expand our arena or buy players?

Selling players is I think the one you haven't mentioned. Apart from that yes they are the only sources.
In my opinion it is a good setup.
If you want to win and climb up the leagues. My tip would be to drop down in your first season if you cannot beat the current competition and then fight relegation if you need to.. get a great player or two in the draft then come back and win the next season. Risky tactic but if you can't win now it is better than being third and not getting a good draft pick.

Really? I thought this was the type of thing the BBs are trying to avoid, and I feel that they probably have done so with the added TV revenue, merch revenue (I'd assume), and arena revenue from being in a higher division.

This is the first I have heard from anyone representing BB that dropping down is a good idea.

I dont mean dropping to a lower division. There are many reasons not to do this but if you cannot win you cannot win.

You have to be the smartest player you can. If you cannot win then you have to concentrate on other areas like training young players and selling them or winning the tournament or getting a safe but lower position so you get a good draft pick at the end of the season.
