I have the 8th pick in the draft and are hoping to get one of my top two picks, i just don't know which player to place in the first spot and which to place in the second spot...

Player A: 5/4 6'0" SF with A rating 18 yo

Player B: 4/4 7'2" C with B+ rating 18 yo

Usually it would be clear to me to pick player A as my first pick but looking at an 18 year old 7'2"Center with decent potential and a B+ rating made me reconsider a little bit... Cause you dont come across that many 7'0"+ Players with good potential and decent skills very often. What do you guys think?

stay with your first feeling and take the overall stronger player.

I agree with Crazyeye. Center is B+; if you are unlucky, you can end up with few Atrocious secondary skills which are hard to train on such a tall player. If you won't be satisfied with him, you will have a hard time selling him, which will not be true for the SF.

first pick sf, isnt very tall:D so id say it can be trained to become great pg/sg with some secondaries.

Sounds like a plan if I do get him :) Ill probably do what Oggagala said and train him along with my 19 (20 when I get this player hopefully) PG.

I usually dont like C's. They often got lousy secondary skills.

Also if you train C's, your trainees have bigger salaries then guards. Since you are not training guards, you have to buy them and they are not that cheap.

If you are training guards, you have smaller wages and old C vets are cheap to buy.

However, if trained properly, centers won't have salaries that go through the roof and will perform better than opposin centers because they have better secondaries (HA, JS...)
