Very simple question, haven't found the answer anywhere.

When does the Training type lock? For instance, the trainnig update that occured this Friday, when is the last time I could have altered the training type for the update?

I thought it locked on Friday for the next week, but I changed my training type yesterday and it appeared to have trained the new training type instead of the training type I had originally left on at the beginning of the week and scheduled the minutes for. I was training ID SF/PF/C and switched to 1v1 SF/PF on this past thursday and it looks like I popped for the 1v1 instead of the ID. Not a big deal because I got some great movement on my players, but I would like to know for future scheduling of minutes in case I change from like SB to JR or something drastic and kill a weeks worth of minutes.

Thanks in advance and I apologize if this was already answered.

That would be at the time the trainingsupdate starts.

so until the trainingsupdate starts, you can still change your mind. the problem is that we don't realy know the exact time it starts.
I know for belgium training is completed around 11 am on friday, so I make sure that the training I want is put in place on thursday evening at latest...

So what your saying is, I can play all my games for the week then make a decision as to what I will train and make the change Thursday Night or early Friday Morning and the training update based on what I submit the night before?

That is exactly how it works. Though, I still almost always pick my training type before the week begins (i.e. Friday after the update).

Thats what I do as well, but in this case I made the change on Thursday instead of Friday and noticed the result. I like planning ahead so I can manage the minutes better, but this raises the question:

Does switching the training have any affect on the momentum of the training? In other words, as an overall improvement of the player, will he improve more if I trained one attribute for 5 weeks straight or 5 different attributes each week for 5 weeks? Will it have a snowball effect or does it increase by similar increments across the board?

no snowball-effect. Each week training is the same amount. so if your have exactly the same minutes for your players for 6 weeks:

if you train 3 weeks training A, and then 3 weeks training B
the result will be the same like if you
train 1 week A, 1 week B, 1 week A, 1 week B, 1 week A and 1 week B.

It is possible that if you did not manage to get the training minutes right, you might want to get an other training for that week, and you can still set it after thursday's game, it will have no effect whatsover that you did not set it earlier in the week.
In most cases though one will be training certain players, rather then a certain skill, so if the player you want to train has not reached his minutes, he will losse some training, no mather what training you set... (get what I mean) so it is not THAT powerfull to be able to set training after you see the minutes for the players, but yes, it could be interesting in some situations.

Note that it is important that you know when the update starts, because you might see the result at 11 am, but the update might have started hours earlier... Maybe Juicepaths has better understanding of how long the update takes...

Generally, it goes that the top division gets the training 1st, and then down in order, but it's usually a matter of a minute tops.
