Hi all,

The salary update just happend, and just like last time I got the feeling that the salaries of inside players are increasing way faster than salaries of guards.

Most of the time at the National Teams you see Centers with way higher salaries than all other players.

I don't think this is right, but maybe there is an explation for this, which I don't know.

Or is it the fact that Centers trainers are mainly boosting 3 maybe 4 skills and Guards 'need' more skills, so their maximum skill stays lower?

Brazilian NT for example, Centers almost have twice the salary of guards, Spain's NT is something like that as well, and our NT got the same. USA's team haven't even got 1 guard who gets close to the best Center.
Italy is about the only team who got it a bit averaged, but then still the Center have a higher salary.

I would say this should be more equal, Centers shouldn't get twice the money a week than Guards.

I have a theory that RB has more of an impact on salary than a lot of skills.. this was evident when he first waive of Free Agents hit the market and i know my guards arent as good as my brothers yet they get paid more? I think that is because i have purposely made sure i only by players with Resp RB whenever possible.. this seems to have pushed the salaries higher...

*just a theory!

I think people feel it is easier to train good PF/C. Theoretically, they can be effective with 4 skills: IS, ID, RB, and SB.

OTOH, for guards one would need to train JS, JR, OD, PS, HN, DV. I don't know whether it is true or not (and someone can correct me on that), but it seems like the 5th and 6th skill for a PG (JS, JR) or a SG (HN, DV) are more useful for the team than the 5th and the 6th skill of the PF (JS, OD).

edit: I guess what I was trying to say is that if you want to train 2 positions, you need to rotate 6 skills for guards, otherwise you are stuck with PG without HN/DV, or SG without JS/JR. With PF/C, you can rotate 4 skills and will get PFs without JS/OD, which is generally not a big deal.

i think guards much more multiskilled than centers so centers mainly train the 4 insideskills while guards train a lot more different things. so the few higher skills give a higher salary, actually if you train a guard only js which i think nobody does he would have a very high salary as well.

Not true.

I can show you Guards that are Sensational & Tremendous with less secondaries getting paid less than 1st week Prominents & even a very rounded Proficient.

I have a SG with salary 8k no stat above Strong. I know a Tremendous JS player with salary less than 10k...and this is as a result of just JS training...
