Hi

I think it would be more fair to change how the average works in the continental tournaments, WC and repechage.

If there is a draw between 2-3 teams i would prefer to take in count the direct results instead of taking in count the +/- points.

If there is a multiple draw then i agree to do it by +/- points.

The reason is simple, i don't think it's fair that 1 team can win easy for 30-40 against 1 NT and another NT that is also fighting in the group face a CT from the team that is giving free average and ends wining by 3-5 points.

And another reason, this last season we saw how NT coachs asked their opponents (teams that weren't in the fight to qualify) to leave them win by 50+ points just to try to qualify having a better average than their direct opponents.

We didn't have any change during some seasons in NT's and i don't think this one is hard to introduce and would be more fair for the competition.

I think it could be done by minitable of draw teams. For example last EC it would mean in Pool G minitable from games of Czech rep., Spain and Germany (matches against the other wouldn't be counted) and in Pool H minitable from games of Italy, Poland and France.

Another example why average system should be changed;

http://www.buzzerbeater.com/world/standings.aspx?teamid=2...

(19149)

Ecuador NT manager(from Chile) giving free average to Chile, he picked players with really bad shape which wasn't by far the best in their position.

It's not the first time something like this happens, this manipulates the competition, it's just a shame.

BB's should take care in the future of situations like this, it's a pitty for small countries like Colombia that all the effort of some seasons are gone.

In Nt i can imagine a da head to head comparision more then on club level, but you have still the possibilities to manage the enthusiam differently, thats why i am not a big fan of head to head here.

And even when he just one with one point, he would have a much better PD then columbia so at least he didn't harmed or destroyed the work of the columbia NT cause of the PD like you said. maybe you can say that he didn't ry to win, but should we erase wins? Are forfeits really common? And how big was the chanches for a win from them anyway?

Edit: and the direct game, is still pretty important, or am i wrong?

It's pretty easy to check what happened in that game from the Ecuador side(exclusively)

I prefer direct results and in case of a 3 draw then doing it for average. I'm talking only about NT competitions.

It's not the first time we see bad fair play from NT managers(like asking the opponent to let them win and arrange the lineups or giving free average to X opponent and then going CT to Y opponent in a premeditated way).

BB's should take care of this things for the future, and make a change to stop this bad fair play from the NT managers, because it manipulates the competition and the communities affected ends very dissappointed.

EDIT: If someone doesn't see what happened, to explain it in a funny way, it's like when you see the lineup of the F1 and you see 1 team that shares information&the engine with another team, they are independent, but the B team helps the A testing things for them/or the drivers
