I know that running faster offenses/defenses affects my players stamina, but does it also have an effect on the opposing team? I know this may seem like a foolish and obvious question, but I've not seen it brought up.

When I look at an opponent's roster, I take a look at minutes per game (also taking into consideration fouls per game). If I see that their best player is averaging only 30 or so minutes per game, I'd like to assume he has poor stamina. If that is true, and I speed up the pace of the game, shouldn't he logically tire and need to come out more frequently?

Thanks.

i ain't even sure about faster pace affect stamina more, the only tactic we know it for sure is the full court pressed since it is noted in training. But i believe that you loose a biteffectivity every posession so i would agreewith you that faster paced attacks also opposing stamina but thats just a theory.

I remember reading about different offenses/defenses & the stamina effect a long while ago. There was a *slight* effect from something like Run & Gun, but really only Full Court Press has a major impact.

It's not worth running a worse offense/def. for your team, only for whatever small effect it has on your opponent's stamina. (FCP excluded). Especially just on a single player's. But if you face a team that plays most or all of it's starters close to all 48 min & has zero depth... That's when tiring them out can really be worth it (FCP / RNG)

There's a chance you're right about the 30 min guy, but low minutes doesn't necessarily mean poor stamina. Well unless the backup is complete garbage. A lot of my backups averaged 20-25 min per game last season because i had a deep team. & that's excluding blowout wins.
