is it more Phoenix Suns style that the PG do pick and roll with a big man and other players for 3 pointers or is it more like stockton and malone style of pick and roll offense?

I think there are no motion teams in the NBA. I think Stocktons Utah would be "base offence" and phoenix suns "push the ball", both would be pick and roll offences.

I'd guess that Mike Fratello was the last coach that used such slow offense.

What I believe could be a good example of low post (another slow pace ofense) would be the Memphis grizzlies.

That's Maljkovic's "old school" which doesn't work anymore. He won't encourage pick&roll plays and I think this is enough to see how behind time he is.
