Big-time showdown tonight between #1 in the Big 8, the Harlan Hillbillies (5-1), and #1 in the Great 8, the IPWNU (6-0).

The nationally televised game will also feature the league's top two scorers. IPWNU features the league's top scorer, Arístides Norabuena (26.8 ppg), while Harlan boast the league's second leading scorer, Dennis Magee (24.7 ppg).

It should be a great game, though I'm predicting a Harlan win for obvious reasons. :)

Trailing by as many as six points in the final quarter, the Harlan Hillbillies ralllied from behind for a dramatic win capped by a last-season 3-pointer by reserve forward Fernando Vinas, knocking IPWNU from the ranks of the unbeaten.

Harlan now assumes the role of #1 overall in Div. V.91 with their first-ever win over IPWNU.

Lucas Benoit led the way for the Hillbillies with 33 points, including 4-for-4 from three-point land. Loe Li Mei finished with a triple-double of 13 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists.

Vinas, who hit the game-winning shot, finished the game with 9 points in only eight minutes of play.

Harlan's next game is in Cup play on Thursday. The Hillbillies are the only team in V.91 remaining in the Cup.
