Hi everyone,

I'm new to this game, and I first thought this 18 yr old player of mine might have a nice future. He's got a few ok skillls. But looking closer at them it seems I can't train him on anything since he lacks main skills like jump range, handling, passing or inside skills.

He's noted as a shooting guard, although I guess he could also be a small forward.

My question: Is there a training I could use that would give him a nice future. I did buy a 19yr old guy with jump range and jump shot that were ok, and was planning to train shooting guards. But I'm not sure if this is a good plan.

Jump Shot: mediocre Jump Range: awful
Outside Def.: average Handling: inept
Driving: respectable Passing: awful
Inside Shot: inept Inside Def.: atrocious
Rebounding: average Shot Blocking: respectable
Stamina: mediocre Free Throw: pitiful

thanks in advance

I suspect that he won't have much of a career.

His passing is painfully low for a guard and his jump range too. As a back-of-the-rotation, got him for nothing trainee you could tolerate his failings in friendlies but I believe his weaknesses in two key skills for all guards mean you should be able to find a superior replacement, for hopefully little expenditure.

if it fits your plans to train Outside shooting for a long time he might become a good playr someday.
Outside shooting trains Jump Range as main skill and it also trains Jump shot, and maybe a few other skills.
18 year olds train prety quickly. It is up to you. If you do not plan on having a lot of outside shooting training, he won't become any good, since if you wait for 2 years, he won't train that fast anymore, and it would take too long, there will be many others on the market with much better skills by that time.

They are not your friends; they dispise you. I am the only one you can count on. Trust me.

Well, you have to know that SG needs JS and JR ---> more=better
Passing is a secondary skill, of course it's needed but, it would go without it...
