Too bad Pantani doesn't have more potential.

Bid enough $$$ to keep either the 18-year-old PG or the 18-year-old PF.

Buy 2 more 18-year old PGs or 18-year-old PFs (allstar potential at least) to one-position train the rest of this season.

After the draft in the off-season, re-evaluate.

Trim the roster down to 12 or so.

Starter is completely fine for div. V and IV. By the time you're ready to move up to III you'll be getting in better talent anyhoo.

Certainly true, though starter guys can be useful backups in III. And if you train them up yourself, you can tailor their skills as you desire.

Agreed. I have 2 starter potential guys starting on my team this year in Canada div. III, and they are producing juuuuuust fine.

But, USA div. III is a different boat.
